For diagnostics, we are a member of the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI). For pharmaceuticals, Roche Products Ltd. is a member of several trade bodies including the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industries (ABPI), the European Medicines Group (EMG) and the Confederation of British Industries (CBI).
Members of trade bodies are governed by a Code of Conduct which, in many instances, extends beyond the extensive laws and regulations that govern our industry. These codes ensure we work professionally, with integrity and respect for those we collaborate with, and makes sure we are transparent about our work and how we engage with others.
We play an active role in these groups on key issues, not least around improving patient access to innovative, new medicines and tests, and supporting our partners in the NHS to deliver high-quality care. Roche also works with our trade bodies to help sustain and enhance the wider life science sector in the UK.
Our ultimate focus is on supporting the UK’s health service to improve health outcomes, and we will continue to work with our partners in industry and the NHS on that goal.
